BMI Calculator How to use it
The BMI (Body Mass Index) Calculator is the tool that allows you to see instantly whether your weight is within the healthy range in comparison with your height. It is quite elementary, and with Metric and Imperial settings. A step by step guide would be the following:
1. Select Your Units
To the top, choose Metric or imperial depending on the unit of measurement to be used (kg/cm or lb/ft+in).
Metric is universal and Imperial can be seen common in the US and UK.
2. Enter Your Height
In the case of Metric: input your height in centimeters.
If training by use of Imperial: submit feet and inches.
Size: 170 cm (Metric) OR 5 ft 7 in (Imperial).
3. Submit Your Weight
Metric: in kg, enter your weight.
Should you use Imperial: then your weight should go in pounds (lb).
Example: 65 kg/ 143 lb.
4. Hit the button with the text Calculate BMI
Click this button and the calculator will immediately display:
Your BMI The score (e.g. 22.5).
A colored gauge bar with which to visualise your result.
5. Check Your Optimal BMI
The tool also provides you a range of healthy weight based on the height you enter.
An example is as follows: Healthy weight range: 54 72 kg.
6. Check out the Interpretation
There is a short message that defines the category of your BMI and its implications.
